We are pleased to announce that three of our partners have been named to Benchmark 40 & Under 2023: Robert J. Dressel, Laurence D. LeSueur, Jr., and Shaun P. McFall.

The firm is pleased to announce that Judy Barrasso has been selected for inclusion in Benchmark's Top 250 Women in Litigation for 2023. Judy is one of only three women recognized in the State of Louisiana.

We are pleased to announce that Barrasso Usdin has been named by Chambers USA as a top tier firm in Louisiana for commercial litigation for the twentieth year in a row.  The firm has also been ranked in the top tier for Insurance and Securities Litigation.  In addition to the Firm’s ranking, eight members were ranked as leading individuals.

We are pleased to welcome Mithun Kamath as Of Counsel to the firm. Before joining the firm, Mithun served as Chief Administrative Officer for the Orleans Parish District Attorney and an Assistant District Attorney focused on appellate matters. His work will help continue the firm’s investment into building out its white collar, government and internal investigation, and appellate practice.  

Whitney M. Antoine and Chloé M. Chetta have been selected as recipients of the Louisiana State Bar Association Young Lawyer Division's 2022 Top 40 Award.  In addition to being selected as a Top 40 recipient, Chloé was also selected to receive the "Outstanding Young Lawyer" award.

Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, L.L.C. was named Louisiana Litigation Firm of the Year at the Benchmark US Annual Awards dinner held on March 15, 2023, in New York. This is the 9th time the firm has won this award. 

Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, L.L.C. is pleased to announce that David Luder has been named Managing Partner of the firm.  David joined the firm in 2010 and previously served on the firm’s Executive Committee.

Barrasso Usdin recently achieved a significant victory for one of its multi-national brokerage clients in a confidential securities arbitration.  Following the victory, the client had high praise both for the firm and for partners Jamie Berger and George Freeman.

We are proud to announce that Judy Barrasso has been named to the 2023 class of the Lawdragon Hall of Fame.  Judy is one of the remarkable attorneys honored this year, all of whom have been practicing for approximately 40 years or more. 

Firm attorney Chloé Chetta was recently elected to the Tulane Law Review Board of Advisory Editors, a prestigious organization of judges, senior attorneys, and legal scholars dedicated to the continued academic success of the Review.

We are proud to announce that Judy Barrasso was selected as the 2022 Hannah G. Solomon honoree by the Greater New Orleans National Council for Jewish Women ("NCJW") on Monday, October 24th.   

The firm is pleased to announce that Judy Barrasso and Rick Sarver were selected for the inaugural Lawdragon 500 Guide to the Leading Litigators in America.  Rick and Judy have also been selected several times for the Lawdragon 500 Guide to Leading Lawyers, and Judy has been named a Lawdragon Legend and Rick has been named to the Lawdragon Hall of Fame. 

Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, L.L.C. has been awarded the Camille Gravel Pro-Bono/Public Service Award by the New Orleans Federal Bar Association.  The Camille Gravel Award recognizes an attorney or firm who has done substantial pro bono or public service legal work.
