Mithun Kamath Teaching Course on Law, Politics & Policy

Barrasso Usdin attorney Mithun B. Kamath is teaching a course at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law this semester.  His course "The Intersection of Law, Politics & Policy" is a public law course designed to introduce students to the ways in which the law informs, impacts, and intersects with governmental and political decision-making. Many of Mithun's classes will include accomplished guest speakers relevant to the topics being studied in order to bring “real-life” perspectives to the topics.

Picture - Mithun B. KamathMithun is a civil and criminal litigator with broad experience in government and internal investigations and appellate matters. He obtained his J.D. from Columbia Law School and B.A. from Tulane University. While in law school, Mithun served on the Columbia Journal of European Law and was involved in the Columbia Society of International Law. 

Mithun joined the firm after serving as Chief Administrative Officer & Assistant District Attorney for the Orleans Parish District Attorney, where he directed the operations of the office and focused on appellate matters. He has argued at the Louisiana Supreme Court, Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
